Trump deploys ICE agents at airports from Monday after 'death of Iran'
Donald Trump has set sights on a new battle after claiming to have completed the "death of Iran" as he revealed the "greatest enemy America has" now.
The US President has been demanding help form allies, including NATO and UK, but said in a series of Truth Social posts that the country is no longer a threat in Trump's usual way with words.
Trump also confirmed his threat of ICE agents at US airports will in fact become a reality as they will be deployed from Monday (March 23).
He also said ICE will do a "fantastic job" ahead of the controversial move following events involving agents across the US. Trump warned people to "get read" as he is playing "no more games".
In his Truth Social post, Trump wrote: "Now with the death of Iran, the greatest enemy America has is the Radical Left, Highly Incompetent, Democrat Party!"
The post came after his ICE announcement, which read: "The Radical Left Democrats have hurt so many people with their vicious and uncaring ways. What they have done to the Department of Homeland Security, our fantastic TSA Officers, and, most importantly, the great people of our Country, is an absolute disgrace. If the Democrats do not allow for Just and Proper Security at our Airports, and elsewhere throughout our Country, ICE will do the job far better than ever done before!
"The Fascist Democrats will never protect America, but the Republicans will. Just like the Radical Left allowed millions of Criminals to pour into our Country through their ridiculous and dangerous Open Border Policy, the Republicans closed it all down, and we now have the Strongest Border in American History. Likewise, I look forward to moving ICE in on Monday, and have already told them to, “GET READY.” NO MORE WAITING, NO MORE GAMES!"
Trump's "death" claim over Iran comes after the US President warned the US will “obliterate” Iranian power plants if it does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
His statement came hours after Iranian missiles struck two communities in southern Israel late on Saturday, leaving buildings shattered and dozens injured in dual attacks not far from Israel’s main nuclear research centre.
The developments signalled the war was moving in a dangerous new direction at the start of its fourth week.
Trump — who is facing increasing pressure at home to secure the Strait as oil prices soar — issued the ultimatum in a social media post while he spent the weekend at his Florida home.
Trump said he is giving Iran 48 hours to open the vital waterway or face a new round of attacks. He said the US would destroy “various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!”
